 The Vagabond is a totally independent, new and exciting bunkhouse in the centre of Betws y Coed within the heart of Snowdonia National Park, designed and run by the creator and previous owner of the world famous “Gite Le Vagabond” in Chamonix, Mont Blanc, France.
Set back off the main road and yet in the centre of Betws y Coed, this large detached Victorian house offers a wealth of character and charm.
Designed for all types of sport activities, this unique bunkhouse is extremely well equipped sleeping a total of 36 in large comfortable bunkrooms of 4, 6 or 8, all with fresh clean linen, (no sleeping bags required), seriously hot showers, superb wholesome freshly cooked food for those who do not wish to prepare their own, a great bar for entertainment, an outdoor climbing wall and a host of other fantastic facilities, making it the perfect base camp for climbers, walkers, mountain bikers and adventure seekers, whether as individuals or large groups, from which to explore and appreciate this area of outstanding recreation and beauty.

Our reception is loaded with information for every type of activity in the area as well as the latest weather forecasts, train and bus routes, local knowledge and information, access to the internet via broadband and charging stations for Mobile phones.
Large spacious and secure bunk rooms with beds ready made with fresh, clean linen and duvets (no need for sleeping bags) and most rooms have wash basins and fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Rooms sleep 4, 6, and 8.
Seriously hot and spotlessly clean showers and wash area.
Fully equipped kitchen catering for individuals or groups for up to 36.
Large spacious common room for dining, relaxing or socialising.
Fully licensed bar with great entertainment, local beers and house wines and a log fire for those cosy wintry evenings.
Homemade evening meals using fresh wholesome local produce at a great price (£6) and a fantastic full on cooked breakfast with unlimited tea or coffee to keep you going all day (£4).
A hot aired drying room for wet boots and clothing.

Large gardens with BBQ pits, quite seating areas and sun lounges to chill out on during those lazy hot days next to the mountain stream that runs through the grounds.
