Winifred's Rest is a family run B&B. We are Gwen, Hazel and Fred. Years of travel have taught us a few things about comfort away from home and our primary objective is to make you as comfortable as possible during your stay at guesthouse in Trefriw, just on the outskirts of Betws-y Coed.

We have three letting rooms. The double and king rooms have ensuite showers and the twin room has a private bathroom. Each room is equipped with a beverage station consisting of a variety of biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Guests will also be provided with complimentary Subahni shampoo and conditioner.

Outdoor and nature enthusiasts are very welcome. Trefriw is known for its numerous trails. We have boot trays in the rooms and a garage where cyclists can store their bikes. After a day's adventure, guests can expect to be treated to warm rooms and toasty beds. You are the reason we provide fan heaters and electric blankets.

We hail from South-east Asia and staying guests who wish to dine in will have the opportunity to sample our cuisine. A meal could cost between £10 and £30 per person depending on choice of dishes and availability of seasonal ingredients. Anyone who has been to South-east Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand will be familiar with some items on our menu like Hainanese chicken rice, Laksa, Mee Siam, Prawn noodle soup, Thai vermicelli and Tom Yam soup.



Among the attractions are Trefriw Woollen Mill, a 6th century church in Llanrhychwyn and the Roman Spa. In itself, Trefriw is one of those little villages that stopped the hands of time with its age old quaintness. Many people have come and gone but the village retains its charm. It is a gem even though the hustle and bustle in the days of yore are gone now.

As a testimony to the wonderful nature of the village, we have enjoyed great hospitality and kindness from many of the locals we've met. I used to tell friends that there's no place on earth like Wales. Now I tell them Trefriw is the icing on the cake.
