Snowdon spacehop in memory of Llandudno Junction teacher

A SPONSORED space hop takes place on top of Snowdon this Sunday in memory of a courageous teacher who died earlier this year.

Ruth Warhurst was supposed to take part in the space hop herself, but tragically lost her three-year battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in April, aged 31.

Ruth’s family and friends are going to walk up the Llanberis Path on Sunday and do a space hop at the top. The space hoppers are being carried up on the Snowdon mountain train.

It’s amazing the different methods people use the mountain to raise money for charity. It’s nice to see an original idea used for the greater good, while in memory of a friend.
