The River Llugwy (or Afon Llugwy) falls over the waterfall and is often a popular spot for experienced canoers, due to the drops and waterfalls along the way. This river also passes under the Miners Bridge which connects Gwydyr Forest to the popular tourist village of Betws-y-Coed.

Snowdonia becomes incredibly busy over the summer season, with many taking on the challenge of Snowdon – the highest mountain in Wales. There are various routes to the summit, and typically takes on average 6 hours to the summit and back.

If you don’t feel like attempting the climb, the Snowdon Railway will take you right up to the summit after a scenic 40 minute journey.
