A Day Out with Thomas in Snowdon

A Day Out with ThomasAn event sure to provide a fantastic day of fun for youngsters (and maybe one or two excitable grown-ups!), the town of Llangollen will be buzzing during a Day Out with Thomas this February.

Thomas does of course refer to the much loved Thomas the Tank Engine: sure to have been a big part of anyone’s childhood over the past five decades. After first appearing in the popular The Railway Series children’s novels by Wilbert and Christopher Awdry, the locomotive character was then seen in his very own show called Thomas and Friends before it was adapted for the small screen in 1979.

A worldwide fan base followed and Thomas went on to be one of the most easily-recognisable characters on television and it’s not a surprise when you consider that none other than Ringo Starr was the narrator for the show!

So, if you’re stuck for something to do with the kids when the 22nd and 23rd of February rolls around, why not take a ride on the most beloved little locomotive on the Llangollen Railway? With one ticket, you can enjoy an infinite amount of travels with Thomas and children under two can go free!

Another of the series’ most beloved character is the Fat Controller and he will also be attending the event over both days. He’s sure to be able to spill the beans on Thomas and his friends. Elsewhere, a trip to the Imagination Station will bring so many engaging activities for the youngsters as they can enjoy face painting, colouring and craft workshops and many more.

If you could possibly want even more then you won’t be disappointed as there will be a special balloon modeller, amazing story telling fun and re-enactments of great live stories.

For adults, tickets start from as little as £17 but you maybe should try a family ticket instead as you , another adult and two children can experience the whole day from as little as £44! Be sure to turn up before 10 30 a.m. on both days over the 22nd and 23rd of February for a steaming good occasion for the whole family.
