If you enjoy hunting down little or big trinkets to add to the collection or simply want to find yourself some bargains, make your way to Porthmadog for the antiques and collector’s fair in April.
There are many low-key but highly exciting events like this across North Wales with them always being well attended by locals and enthusiasts. New fairs like this one pop up all across the region, including Snowdon.
An all-day affair, this occasion is one which will appeal to people of all ages and is sure to be a great time out for the whole family. Situated at Y Ganolfan, you may well find your new prized possession this Easter Bank Holiday Monday.
Porthmadog itself is a gorgeously scenic small town in the north of Wales but don’t let that fool you as it always presents a fine array of fun for everyone. Known for the majority of locals speaking fluent Welsh, there’s many stunning landmarks to catch your eye in this charming coastal town. Famous faces from Porthmadog include T.E Lawrence and WWE wrestler Mason Ryan. The area has been the location for many music video shoots over the years including those by Duffy and Supergrass.
Some of the attractions which can be enjoyed in Porthmadog include the famous Bleanau Railway which receives many visitors each year and the Maritime Museum at Oakley Wharf. Time for reflection an also be had at the War Memorial atop Ynys Galch.
There are these few activities and many more for you to enjoy outside of the collector’s fair and it’s highly-recommended that you get out there and explore. As for the fair, it’s an early doors start at half 9 all the way up to 3pm on the 21st of April. Children can enjoy free entry at the Porthmadog Antiques & Collectors Fair and it’s just 50p for adults.
