Are you feeling adventurous this year or perhaps want to try something completely new? Adventurous Ewe has the perfect task for you and that is the Snowdon Challenge. This exciting, exhilarating, yet rewarding challenge involves a number of active adventures. This includes a 19km cycle around Snowdon, a 15km trek to the summit and canoeing 4km across Llyn Padarn to the finish line.
The Snowdon Challenge consists of a number of physically and mentally tiring activities, therefore a good fitness level is required to begin with. The event will begin by arriving in Llanberis early on a Saturday evening, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet your team and be given a briefing from the leaders at Adventurous Ewe. The morning of the Snowdon Challenge will see you eating breakfast with your team and enjoying the moment whilst the adrenaline kicks in, before you begin your journey.
The challenge begins with the 19km cycle along the shores of Llyn Padarn, where you’ll pass through Snowdonia National Park to Llyn Cwellyn. One thing you’re guaranteed throughout the challenging day is an array of scenic views which you will treasure for a lifetime. Once you arrive in Llyn Cwellyn you will have reached your first check point of the day. Swapping bikes for boots, you’ll be keeping active with a trek to the summit. The journey will continue with climbing Snowdon via the Rangers Path, where you’ll reach a stopping point to admire the views from the top across Snowdonia. This part of the challenge will take approximately three hours.
To finish the last leg of the journey, the team will descent back to Llanberis to commence canoeing back along the shores of Llyn Padarn. Does all of this sound like a challenge you and your friends are prepared for? Adventurous Ewe is offering discounts for groups of 4+. This is an opportunity to get your team together and take on a challenge of a lifetime.
