Aberdaron is a tiny, unspoilt village with lots to offer to its visitors: a lovely beach and country walks, delightful rocky coves to explore, panoramic views and a wealth of wildlife. In and around the bay there are safe bathing and sailing -  Aberdaron is known for its clear water quality. Local activities include swimming, sailing, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, fishing, diving courses, quad biking, coastal walks and boat trips.

The whole coastline within a few miles of Aberdaron is dotted with secluded, clean sandy beaches - with the chance of seeing choughs, seals and dolphins. There are excellent spots for picnics and sun bathing. Walk around stunning Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth), Porth Meudwy (Hermit's Cove) and Traeth Penllech.

Footpaths criss-cross this area. Much of the land is owned by the National Trust. There are excellent panoramic views from the hills towards the Wicklow hills of Ireland, Snowdonia and the whole of Cardigan Bay to beyond New Quay on a clear day - at Uwchmynydd, Rhiw, Garn Fadryn, Boduan and Tre'r Ceiri. 

There is excellent sailing all round Cardigan Bay. Many people visit from the marinas at Pwllheli, Porthmadog and Abersoch. Fishing Trips, Coastal Cruises, Dolphin and Seal Watching, Sunset Cruises are available here. Beach fishing is also a popular activity around the area.

The Llyn Peninsula bears two ancient pilgrim paths to Enlli - Bardsey with ancient churches founded by the celtic saints who were active in this area in the 5th century.
