Llanberis Track – PYG – Miners – Watkin Path – Rhydd Ddu – Snowdon Ranger– Horseshoe

A beautiful path on the quieter side of the mountain.

Starting Point – Car park opposite Ranger Youth Hostel

Go across the road and take the signed tracks of the old Youth Hostel and then cross the tracks of the railway. The path meanders upwards past the farm (Llwyn Onn). At the top of the rise the path goes through a bog, keep going past the lake. The path rises steeply,with the tall cliffs of Clogwyn du’r Arddu on the left hand side. The slope levels out and proceeds to the right for about 1 Km and joins the Llanberis Path on the Moutain Railway. The 2m marker stone on the ridge denotes the way down to the Miners’ Track and the Pyg Track. Proceed along the railway to the right to the summit.
